Which paper do I need?
If you want the most natural representation or the most vibrant colors on paper, luster photo paper is the best choice. For artworks and drawings, matte paper is often more suitable. Keep in mind that matte paper can never achieve a true deep black but rather a dark anthracite tone.

Thicker, Higher-Quality Paper
Beautiful Smooth Finish
What Is the difference between Premium and Hahnemühle? Hahnemühle paper is slightly thicker and of higher quality. It is the preferred choice for museums and professional photographers. Luster has a subtle satin finish but is not glossy. We strongly advise against glossy paper, as it scratches easily and reflects light like a mirror. We’re happy to explain all options further in-store!

What is the difference between textured and smooth matte paper? Textured matte paper is the better option for art prints. It has a handmade paper feel, adding depth and character to the artwork. Smooth matte paper is ideal for line drawings and comics, offering a clean and precise look. The color reproduction is the same for both Premium and Hahnemühle papers.
